REHEARSALS SPACE IN BOSTON

The Apollo School of Music and Arts opens its doors for rehearsals at our venue.

We believe that rehearsals are an important step in the creative process. However, it is a commonly disregarded aspect of the music production process. Rehearsals are meant to ensure that everyone in the band or ensemble understands their roles.

Welcome to the Apollo School of Music and Arts! We are excited to offer our venue for rehearsals. Rehearsals are an important step in the creative process, and we believe they should be given the attention they deserve.

We believe that rehearsals are an important step in the creative process. However, it is a commonly disregarded aspect of the music production process. Rehearsals are meant to ensure that everyone in the band or ensemble understands their roles. That's why we've opened our doors to provide a space for you to rehearse and perfect your craft.

Rehearsals can help:

  • Musicians get familiar with the song arrangement

  • Focus on individual performances and find how these individual parts work together.

  • Establish the best note and tempo for a piece.

  • Resolve some issues that may not have been obvious before.

  • Collaborate on improvements on the music.

Of course, rehearsal times are supposed to be efficient to make the most of your time. Here are some tips to making sure that the time spent in the studio is well spent. Make sure to:

Send the demo recordings before heading to rehearsal.

You can send it over email through a .mp3 or .wav file. It's also important that all members of the ensemble have their demos beforehand. If they already have these demos, you don't need this step unless a change needs to be listened to.

Organize and schedule rehearsals efficiently

Take a step back and think about who needs to be at the rehearsal. Work from the bottom up so that other people in the ensemble will have to sit around doing nothing. For example, you can rehearse the rhythm section first. In this scenario, the background singers can come later, so they don't dawdle and waste their time.

Consult with the studio engineer

It's typically a good idea to bring in the engineer recording the band after practices. They can better prepare for the studio setting by viewing the setup, seeing the musicians, and hearing the song. A good engineer will be able to make suggestions regarding sounds and what resources are available.

That is why Apollo contributes to its community. The proceeds from our concerts, recitals and other performances benefit Boston students who lack or have restricted educational resources. In every manner we can, we want to provide every Boston kid a fair start and the same opportunities as their peers.

Apollo School of Music And Arts Rescues Halloween With Virtual Kid's Concert

On October 31 at 6pm, Apollo School of Music and Arts will hold a virtual Halloween performance for children conducted by its musical teachers and special guests. The online event will include Halloween-themed singing and dancing through Zoom.

Due to the present COVID-19 danger, the City of Boston has advised residents to avoid door-to-door trick-or-treating. Parents throughout the city are forced to question if going door to door is the wisest course of action.

Hence, Apollo School of Music and Arts' mission is to assist parents of children ages 0-6 by offering an accessible online alternative.
